We are proud to be one of the more than 1,000 organizations who signed on to a letter, delivered this week to Congressional leaders, urging them to pass an equitable, sustainable, and resilient Farm Bill in 2024. The letter was signed by 1,096 signatories from across nearly all 50 states, representing a wide range of organizations and communities, including municipal governments, unions, businesses, and advocacy groups including our friends at MIFFS and OEFFA. The letter stress that while expediency is important, the bill must address crucial issues such as hunger, public health, and environmental concerns. While highlighting the challenges faced since the 2018 Agricultural Improvement Act, the letter calls for a farm bill that reflects the current needs of the food and farm system.
